            Group Account Director Jobs

            A group account director's work encompasses funds and investment management and mapping out a client's expense and earnings in all areas of finance. The client is usually a group of investors who provide the financing, and a group account director administers and divests these funds on various assets and stocks. This type of job falls under the fund management division of a bank or any investment service provider. Fund management, a booming sector within the banking industry, has brought in billions in revenue for the bank and its investors. A group account investor plays a vital part in this process, this is why banks are keen on finding the right people for the job.

            The work of a group account director can cover the entire investment process, from reeling in investors to overseeing an investment. To do so, he needs to be well versed on the processes of business and government financing schemes.

            Group account directors intrinsically function as a bank officer, but with appended functions that may involve the following:

            • Financial market research- needs to consider prevailing financial climates and study its short and long term impact on the fund
            • Asset allocation- in choosing assets, a group account director must also do research which assets are feasible and which ones are risky.
            • Planning and implementation- needs to outline his fund management strategy and subject it to the investor's approval. If approved, a group account director may be tasked with its execution and implementation.
            • Monitoring cash flow and recording the funds' financial progress.

            Group account directors may occasionally represent a client and perform various business transactions on the clients' behalf.

            Job Requirements

            A Group account director should be a graduate of business-oriented degrees such as Economics or Investment Management, or at least a five-year banking experience.
