Armed Forces Jobs

The Australian Defence Force, which is the military organisation of Australia, is divided into three units. These are the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal Australian Army, and the Royal Australian Navy. The members of the Australian Defence Force all qualify for the basic requirements that include an authentic citizenship or a permanent residence in Australia, a minimum age of 17 years old, a great deal of self-discipline, and a strong sense of nationalism and patriotism.

The brave members of the Australian military without officer's commissions are called army soldiers. Contrary to popular belief, the duties of army soldiers are not limited to serving the country and the state by participating in combats and wars. They are also involved in the operation and maintenance of military equipment, the transportation and distribution of troops and goods, the study and mastery of military techniques and weapons, and the care and treatment of wounded soldiers..

Australian army soldiers are divided into several specialisations that include the Australian Intelligence Corps, the Royal Australian Artillery Corps, the Australian Army Band Corps, the Australian Army Aviation Corps, the Royal Australian Corps of Transport, and the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps. The Australian Intelligence Corps, which is composed of intelligence operators and intelligence operations analysts, is the army subsidiary that is involved in the study and mastery of combat intelligence, counter intelligence, electronic warfare, human intelligence, imagery intelligence, intelligence analysis, language translation and interpretation, psychological operations, and security intelligence.

The army subsidiary involving the location of enemy targets, the provision of low-level air defence, and the production of firepower in combats is the Royal Australian Artillery Corps. The members of the artillery corps are the artillery and survey operators and the command post operators. The musically inclined army soldiers are most likely to be included in the Australian Army Band Corps (AABC), the musical branch of the Australian Army. The members of the AABC are responsible for the improvement of the Australian Army's public image by performing and marching at national ceremonial occasions.

The Australian Army Aviation Corps is the subsidiary that is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the equipments used in aviation. These equipments include parachutes, planes, flying helmets, jetplanes, anti-gravity suits, radar units, life rafts, and breathing apparatuses. It members include the aircraft life support fitters, the aircraft technicians, the aircraft structural fitters, and the avionics technicians. The members of the Australian Army who are involved in both the transportation and distribution of soldiers and goods are included in the Royal Australian Corps of Transport. They are the marine specialists, movement assistants, terminal operators, and truck drivers that travel via sea, air, or land.

The army soldiers who provide medical treatment and health care to other members of the army are included in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps. The members of the medical corps are physicians, nurses, or pharmacists who provide medical attention to ill army men or wounded soldiers. The services of the members of the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps are especially needed during combats and wars.
