              Interactive Manager Jobs

              Interactive manager jobs are the types of jobs involving the supervision and management of an advertising agency's interactive accounts. These jobs include everything from maintaining professional relationships with the clients to managing production processes with the other interactive team members. Interactive manager jobs are also referred to as interactive account manager jobs.

              Interactive advertising is the process of promoting products and services through the use of interactive media. The different media forms where interactive advertising is utilised include interactive television, kiosk-based terminals, mobile devices, and Internet websites. One of the most popular forms of interactive advertising is through viral marketing. Viral marketing is a technique that sends advertisements using animations, audio clips, images, texts, video clips, and web links via electronic mail.

              Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms are needed for interactive manager jobs because you have to regularly interact not only with the clients but also with the other members of the interactive team. As the interactive manager, you are accountable for the development and the management of the project schedules, scopes, and budgets. You have to make sure that the day-to-day project tasks of each team member are right on schedule and on budget.

              The basic academic requirement for interactive manager jobs is a college diploma in advertising, computer science, communications, information technology, management, or any other related field. You also need a previous working experience of at least three years to qualify.

              Knowledge in markup languages, style sheets, and scripting languages such as hypertext markup language (HTML), cascading style sheets (CSS), structured query language (SQL), and hypertext preprocessor (PHP) is needed in interactive manager jobs. A working knowledge of computer software and Internet tools such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Flash, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is also required. Having a background in viral marketing and search engine optimisation will give you higher chances of being hired.
